Coral Bleaching Experts

My ecological concern is coral bleaching due to climate change. To help me research this problem, I would choose the following experts:

1. Kristen Marhaver, @CoralSci: Watch her TEDTalk here.

Kristen Marhaver is a Coral Scientist who is currently developing tools and methods to help corals reproduce. Her knowledge and passion for these organisms could greatly come in handy when trying to fight coral bleaching.

2. Terry Hughes, @ProfTerryHughes: Watch his TEDTalk here.

Terry Hughes is a researcher on the effects of climate change on coral reefs. He believes that we can save coral reefs, but we need to try a LOT harder than we are currently. His knowledge and dedication to the subject could help me understand more about coral bleaching.

3. Katharine Hayhoe, @KHayhoe: Watch her TEDTalk here.

Katharine Hayhoe is a Canadian climate scientist, who is willing to have a positive, constructive conversation about climate change. I think that her willingness to have important conversations about the current state of the climate could help me better understand what we are dealing with when wanting to save a species from unsuitable temperatures.

4. James Hansen, Wikipedia: Watch his TEDTalk here.

James Hansen is a climate scientist who is spreading awareness and finding solutions to climate change. He is a climate activist and has also made many important discoveries on the subject. His knowledge and initiative could come in handy when wanting to study the effects of global warming.

5. David Wachenfeld, @ReefChiefSci: Hear what he has to say here.

David Wachenfeld is the lead scientist for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, and he is driven by his dream to keep the keep alive for all of the future generations. His knowledge and passion for the reefs would be important to fight coral bleaching.
