Protectors of the Great Barrier Reef

Many people are coming together to fight for the Great Barrier Reef. One of these people is Anna Marsden.

Marsden is the Managing Director of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. She is very involved in the Reefs and speaks with lots of knowledge on the subject. She has worked in many leadership roles in her lifetime, making her well suited for the task. Anna is also part of many committees striving to help this cause, such as the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's International Scientific Advisory Committee and the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program executive committee.

I chose Anna Marsden as my community activist because she is one of the only women working in a high-level position on the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. I think it's important for women to be showcased in positions of power to show the world that women too can lead! She is very knowledgeable, and I think that she can provide support in my understanding of the coral bleaching disaster.
